Who Runs This Site
My name is Maaz. I write and publish every page on this site and there is no team behind me and no content agency. If a page here is wrong then it is my fault and not an editor’s.
I started playing PUBG MOBILE in 2020 and I have played it almost every day since then. That is about six years and I am still playing daily. In that time I have gone through the India ban and the arrival of BGMI as its own app and the shutdown of PUBG MOBILE LITE. I have also reinstalled this game on a lot of cheap phones which turns out to be the single most useful thing about writing an APK site.
I am not a journalist and I do not work in the games industry. What I have is the thing that most APK sites do not have. I still play the game I write about and I played it this week. When I say an install is heavy on a 2GB phone it is because I have watched it happen.
My PUBG Account
Anyone can claim six years on a website. So here is my account so you can look it up yourself.
Player details
In-game name: معاذ which is Maaz written in Arabic
Character ID: 5868597422
Current tier: Crown
Server: Middle East
Playing since: 2020
Still playing: Daily
My in-game name is written in Arabic and it is the same name as the one at the top of this page. I play on the Middle East server so that is the region I know best. If a page here talks about availability in a country then I checked it rather than guessed it.
One honest note about that screenshot. It shows my tier today. It does not by itself prove six years because PUBG MOBILE does not put a join date on the profile screen. The six years is my own word. If you want to check it then the season rewards on my account go back further than the screenshot does and I am happy to show them to anyone who asks by email.
Why I Built This Site
Search for any PUBG MOBILE APK and look at what comes back. Most of it is the same page copied over and over. Five download buttons and four of them are ads. A version number that was invented. A file size that nobody checked. Sometimes a page asking for your player ID and your password to give you free UC which is simply theft with a nice layout.
That is bad for a new player and it is worse for a young one. A twelve year old on a cheap phone looking for a game that fits in his storage should not have to work out which of five buttons is the real one.
So the rule here is boring on purpose. One download button. It goes to the official source. If the official file does not exist yet then the page says so instead of giving you something else.
What We Cover
- PUBG MOBILE LIGHT. Release date and file size and device requirements and pre-registration. This is the main focus of the site right now.
- PUBG MOBILE LITE. The older lighter game from 2019. Still confused with LIGHT constantly so we explain the difference.
- BGMI and BGMI Lite. The India versions and the availability rules that come with them.
- Low end Android. What actually runs on 2GB and 3GB of RAM. Not what a spec sheet claims.
- APK safety. How to tell a real file from a repackaged one and why a split APK is not the same as a single file.
We do not cover esports results or tier lists or hacks. Other people do those better.
How We Check Things
A pre-release game is mostly rumour. Half of what gets published about PUBG MOBILE LIGHT is somebody guessing. So we work to a few fixed rules.
| Where it comes from | How we treat it |
|---|---|
| KRAFTON or the official PUBG MOBILE site or a store listing | Stated as fact and linked so you can check it yourself |
| A press event or an official developer video | Stated as fact with the date and the name of the person who said it |
| A reliable news site reporting something official | Included and labelled as reported and not confirmed |
| A leak or a datamine or a screenshot from a private test | Labelled clearly as unconfirmed or left out |
| A version number or file size nobody has published | Left blank. We would rather say we do not know |
Every page carries the date it was last updated at the top. On a pre-launch game that date matters more than the words under it. A page updated four months ago is probably wrong now and we would rather you knew that before you read it.
Our Rule On APK Files
This is the part most sites in this niche will not put in writing so we will.
We link to the official source. That means Google Play or the App Store or a download that KRAFTON publishes on its own website. We do not keep a copy of anyone else’s game file on our server and we do not send you to a random mirror.
There is a practical reason as well as a legal one. Google Play has shipped apps as App Bundles since 2021 which means the real install is several split files and not one APK. Any site handing you a single tidy file has repackaged it. Once someone repackages a file you have no way to know what else went in.
Where a page includes a download we name the version and we publish a checksum so you can confirm the file you are holding matches the file the page describes.
What We Will Never Do
- Ask for your game login. No site needs your PUBG account name or your password. Not for an APK and not for a reward. Any site that asks is stealing accounts.
- Promise free UC or free skins. There is no generator. There never was one.
- Charge you for an APK. The game is free. Anyone selling it is selling you something they do not own.
- Host a modified client or a cheat. No aimbots and no wallhacks and no unlimited currency files. These get accounts banned permanently and we are not going to be the reason yours goes.
- Tell you to switch off Play Protect. Any instruction to disable your phone’s own safety check is a warning sign about the file and not about the phone.
- Invent a version number. If we do not know it then the page says we do not know it.
We Are Not The Official Site
The official pre-registration page is at pubgmobile.com. If anything on our site disagrees with anything on theirs then believe theirs and then tell us so we can fix ours.
How The Site Is Paid For
Right now it is not. There are no ads on this site and no sponsored posts and no affiliate links. I pay for the hosting and I write the pages in my own time.
That will probably change because hosting is not free. If we add advertising then we will say so on this page and on the privacy policy before the first ad appears. If we ever publish something because somebody paid us then it will say so at the top of the page in plain words. A label at the bottom in grey text is not a disclosure.
Corrections
We get things wrong. On a game that has not launched yet we will get things wrong more than once.
When it happens we fix the page and we change the date at the top. If the mistake was a big one such as a wrong release date or a wrong file size then we add a line saying what changed rather than quietly editing it. Silently correcting a page you have already read is not a correction.
If you spot something then email admin@pubglightapk.online. You do not have to be polite about it and you do not have to explain who you are. Just tell us what is wrong and where.
